Kick-Off Meeting on Education Program Implementation cooperated with POE, Kg Cham

The Kick-Off Meeting on the Education Program Implementation, which was cooperated with Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sports for Kampong Cham, was organized by the Provincial Department of Education and funded by Save the Children partnering NGOs at the Provincial Department of Youth and Sports, Kampong Cham Province.
 
This program aimed to raise awareness about the purpose and implementation of education programs in 2016 to promote cooperation between the Department of Youth and Sports partnered with related NGOs, such as KAPE, Save the Children...etc in Kampong Cham, and aimed to promote an understanding of the strategies in education program implementations being consistent with the strategic plan of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports effectively.
 
KAPE has been implementing quality learning environment (QLE) funded by Save the Children. QLE has been divided into I'm Learning Project! which focused on the evaluation and monitoring and QLE Expansion focused on implementation in Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Kratie, Preah Vihear and Prey Veng in collaboration with the District Offices of Education and Provincial Departments of Education to provide education services to children in the targeted schools especially it has been tracked the levels of children education improvement.
 
Ly Meng San, Provincial Department Director of Education, Youth and Sports in Kampong Cham, said that an effective education was depended on the leadership. He gave his expression to thank and request for all NGO-partners, especially KAPE who has done greatly significant things to help improve education. He continued KAPE has provided scholarships and opportunities to 115 vulnerable and poor female students to study at university. In response to the project implementation results that KAPE has done, Meng San, said that KAPE has implemented the New Generation School (NGS) supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, has been now expanded to Sisowath high school in Phnom Penh and extended to Svay Rieng province.
 
In this kickoff meeting by that day was attended by NGO-partners such KAPE, OEC and Save the Children to present the project ports.
