In August 2016, KAPE hosted a five-day field visit from Samaritan's Purse in target project locations in Kratie and Kampong Cham.

The field visit’s  purpose was to facilitate discussion related to KAPE projects, including: (1) Leadership and School Management (SML) in Kratie, (2) New Generation Schools (NGS) and (3) E-Books for Khmer (E4K) in Kampong Cham. The 48 participants included senior Ministry officers, project coordinators, teachers and school directors from Banteay Mean Chey province.

Participants learned about best practices in well-managed schools,  administration, teaching approaches, effectively managing classrooms. They also learned how to use basic technology aids and training materials to promote reading skills for children, and how to strengthen reading and math, using innovations created by KAPE. These included materials for strengthening reading skills, and learning through technology (M-Learning).

KAPE shared  best practices from its successful project implementations and facilitated active discussions with participants on how to effectively observe and monitor projects and ensure sustainability.
