TRAINING COURSE ON CHILD FRIENDLY SCHOOL HOSTED FOR GRADE 1 TO 3 TEACHERS AND READING COACHES THE COACHES

On 9th May 2019, the United Schools of Cambodia (USC) project hosted a training on Child Friendly School for the Grade 1, 2 and 3 teachers and reading coaches from four target schools and an officer from the district office of education, youth and sport of Ouyadao in Rattanakiri Province.​ The USC Project’s purpose-level goal is to develop child friendly school models that are truly excellent across several dimensions including educational quality, inclusiveness, and local stakeholder (i.e., parents, community, and local government) engagement with the aim of ensuring smooth transition from community pre-schools to primary schools. This full-day training provided great deals of achievements as the participants participated in the group discussion and took great ideas to improve and strengthen their teaching and learning methods. The USC staff facilitated smoothly to provide comfortable space to teachers, school directors and representative from the District Office of Education, Youth and Sport for actively discussing and exchanging ideas. By the reason that this training provided innovative teaching methods, teachers have changed their teaching methods better. They addressed that they would use these good methods to teach their students. The program has been funded by the Kinchan Stiftung Foundation in Germany and implemented by KAPE.
