Workshop on Reading Benchmarks for Grade 1 and Grade 2

The E-Book for Khmer, called E4K, organized a training course on using Reading Benchmark for Grade 1 and Grade 2 taking place for 3 days at the Provincial Teacher Training College (PTTC), Kampong Cham province, was based on the project activity plans to improve target school teachers on Reading Benchmark of Grade 1 and Grade 2 to qualify and affect the teaching and learning methods. To also learn the details of the program strengthens reading for children through the use of assessment tools, reading systems, rapid response and the use of learning games.
 
 
The training program consisted of different activities to strengthen teachers including: understand the reading benchmarks forms and how to use the reading benchmarks, group discussion, group evaluation,  testing practice and use learning games, and 5 tips of reading, and discuss about staging tests, understand of staging tests and oral tests. The trainees were allowed to complete several lists and tables to support strengthening reading program, exchange of experiences among teachers. Teachers were so happy to attend the training session because they had more new experiences and new techniques to teach reading in addition to what they had had.
 
 
The E4K project, funded by WorldVision, USAID and DFAT and implemented at 15 schools in 11 districts in Kampong Cham province. This project began on 15 January 2015 and will be ended on January 14, 2017. E4K is a project based on the basic technology to improve a child's reading ability. At the end of the training, E4K found a sensitivity of participants after they took the main issues put on the table to discuss together to find practical solutions to be used when returning to their respective schools.
