Life Skills Learning for Adolescent Girls (LSLAG) Project, funded by Gap Inc., hosted a training on P.A.C.E. “Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement” Curriculum with a two-day to 175 new teachers who come from lower secondary and high schools led by trainers that project has chosen.

The training was held at 12 different locations in 19 provinces of Cambodia. The participants gained excellent knowledge of the life skill program created by Grap Inc. and had effective teaching methods, including mind maps, role play, case studies, and gallery walks.  Meanwhile, the participants demonstrated teaching some lessons from the P.A.C.E. manual and reflected on the lessons' contents and the teachers' teaching methods.

Mrs. Khun Chakriya, a teacher from Trapeang Chhouk Secondary School, Kampong Speu Province, said, “This training is excellent because there are new teaching methods with active learning activities, and I am more understanding of using the P.A.C.E. curriculum. The curriculum provides students with the knowledge to understand the physical, emotional, and social transition, and students have more confidence to decide and plan their future.

Mrs. Keo Saren, a Rattanak Mondul Secondary School teacher in Battambang Province, said, “P.A.C.E. curriculum provides students with the knowledge and ability to tackle gender vulnerabilities and inequalities in their living."
