Miss Sim Phally, 27, who is a former student of the Cambodian Tertiary Scholarship Program (CTSP), graduated from Western University in Kampong Cham Branch in the academic year 2011-2015. Miss Phally has a younger brother living with parents who are farmers in Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province. Her family could not afford to support her to continue pursuing higher education. By that time, she decided to give up her desire to pursue higher education.

Based on KAPE’s CTSP intervention in early 2011, Miss Phally was very happy because she was given the opportunity to continue her four-year studies at the university. During university period, she attended additional training sessions which changed her positive thinking and helped others. She, particularly, used her study experiences to share with high school students. Miss Phally is currently working for Kampuchea Action to Promote Education (KAPE) organization and is pursuing a Master's degree.
