SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONY AT WESTERN UNIVERSITY

KAPE held the scholarship ceremony for the poor Khmer girls who passed the exam to have continued their higher education at university in Kampong Cham city. This ceremoney was taken place on 21 November 2016 at Western University in aiming to introduce the project goals, procedures, project activities of the Cambodian Tertiary Scholarship Program (CTSP) in the academic year 2016-2020 to the students' parents and governors. For another purpose was to motivate them to not stop their children's studies. They had to join encouraging their children to study. The 30 parents and governors, 30 scholarship students were honorarily invited to attend the ceremony. Sao Vanna, the KAPE executive director, was also given about 6 to 10 minutes to share his greeting speech. Yim Sambok, the Western University representative, was invited to do his presentation about the university subjects for the scholarship to choose. In addition, Sreang, the branch manager, was invited to instruct about job opportunities and finance work to the students. The CTSP ceremony was supported by The Asia Foundation (TAF).
