Today KAPE warmly hosts a visit from Mr. Harthmut Giesecke, a German Philanthropist, who is interested in starting a dialogue with KAPE about possible collaboration in the future. Mr. Hartmut is most interested in providing high quality ECCD services to young rural children and plans to set up a foundation to administer support to one or more agents in Cambodia who would provide such services. Mr. Hartmut's visit was productive in that it enabled him to see the variety of KAPE programming from its New Generation School programming, scholarship programming for the poor, youth programming, and social enterprise activities to develop and disseminate teaching aids for young children. It is not certain whether KAPE will be a key provider of ECCD services but the agency is very much interested in seeking areas of possible collaboration with Mr. Hartmut.
